The traditional curriculum taught by O'Sensei in IWAMA during the final years of his life includes the intense use of weapons. Morihiro Saito Shihan continued this tradition and faithfully transmitted the teaching to his students . We are lucky to receive these transmissions from our teachers and are pleased to offer these to our students and friends. We practice the traditional aikido weapons of boken (wooden sword) and jo (wooden short staff) as AIKIKEN and AIKIJO.
